EC GLASS BAND ALUMNI EVENT

ONLY 1 WEEK AWAY

Just a reminder that we are only one week away from the EC Glass Spring Concert/Alumni Event scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2007. The concert will be held at 7:00 pm at the EC Glass Auditorium.

The theme for the event is "EC Glass Band - Continuing A Tradition of Excellence" and will feature Neal Haworth, former band director at EC Glass from 1970 to 1978. All past band members are invited to attend, including color guard and field commanders.

So far, we have heard from nearly 100 former band members; some from as far away as California, Florida, and New Hampshire. Although not everyone can attend, we did find out that Tim Montgomery, one of our former field commanders, will be coming all the way from Ohio. (Mr. Haworth confirmed that his daughters from Richmond and Texas will also be in attendance.)

Here is the tentative schedule for the evening:

6:15 pm Band Alumni Registration Table Opens

7:00 pm Wind Ensemble Performance

Recognition of Graduating Seniors

(Intermission)

Recognition of Neal Hayworth

Symphonic Band Performance

Recognition of Alumni

8:30 ish Special Senior/Alumni Reception in new band room

9:30 ish Get Together @ Monte Carlo Restaurant (This tradition has continued!)

It is exciting to know that the "Tradition of Excellence" of the band program has continued and that you have been part of it! EC GLASS SEARCHING FOR BAND ALUMNI

If you are an alumnus of the EC Glass Band, the EC Glass Band Program is looking for you!

"Whether you were a member of the concert band, symphonic band, jazz band, or marching band, including guard and drum majors, we are looking for you," said to Larry Seipp, Director of Bands at EC Glass High School.

For more than 75 years, the EC Glass Band has a proud "tradition of excellence" with more than 3,000 students having participated over the program.

A special alumni event is being planned at the Spring Concert, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 24th at the EC Glass Auditorium. During the concert, Neal Haworth, former Band Director from 1970 – 1978, will be honored and a special alumni reception will follow.
