CRITERIA FOR JIMMIE BRYAN SCHOLARSHIP
THE STUDENT MUST:
1. HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF A VARSITY ATHLETIC SQUAD THEIR JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEAR AT E.C. GLASS HIGH SCHOOL.
2. MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH AN EXCELLENT ATTITUDE.
3. GRADES SHOULD BE 2.0 OR HIGHER.
4. MUST PLAN ON ATTENDING AN ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE, OR JUNIOR COLLEGE. TECHNICAL SCHOOLS AND BUSINESS SCHOOLS ARE NOT PERMISSIBLE.
5. THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE ATHLETES' SCHOOL-OF-CHOICE DURING THE FIRST SEMESTER OF ENROLLMENT.
6. MAY ATTEND IN-STATE OR OUT-OF-STATE SCHOOL. THE IN-STATE SCHOOL WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE ONLY IF ALL ELSE IS EQUAL.
7. FINANCIAL STATUS OF PARENTS IS A MAJOR DETERMINING FACTOR, BUT NOT THE ONLY FACTOR.
8. ONE NON-RENEWABLE SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE AWARDED IN THE AMOUNT OF $500.00
